“ I recently had an exceptional dining experience at Waterbar Restaurant in San Francisco. The restaurant's prime location on the Embarcadero offers stunning views of the Bay Bridge and the waterfront, which enhances the overall ambiance. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated at a table with a view. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations from their exquisite menu. The highlight of our meal was the fresh seafood. We ordered the oysters, which were impeccably fresh and flavorful. The main course, a beautifully prepared halibut, was cooked to perfection and accompanied by seasonal vegetables that complemented the dish wonderfully. My partner and I had the pleasure of embracing Waterbar in San Francisco right on the Embarcadero Promenade for a midday champagne toast, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with the perfect balance of sophistication and casual charm. The view of the bay bridge and water added to the already delightful experience. But the true stars of the show were our bartenders Freddy, Matt, Josue, and Stephon. Freddy handled our champagne selections with expertise, ensuring we had the perfect pairing for our celebration. Matt’s friendly and attentive service made us feel right at home, while Stephon crafted some of the most creative and delicious cocktails. “ Not much to say except for the fact that this place is a 10/10. I had: coconut4banana cocktail for start, had white wine that paired amazingly with the chef’s choice of oysters (very meaty and fresh), for main I had lobster roll and we shared dessert of princess cake madeira dessert wine. My husband had: fish and chips, and that share of dessert and madeira. Luca was our host. He’s got a thick Italian accent and the friendliest most welcoming service we’ve ever had in our 1 month in SF. Luca was a 10/10. Food was a 10/10. Wine options was a 100000/10 (it’s hard to find Madeira where I come from), cocktail was 7/10. What we both would recommend you: get the oyster, ask for a good white wine pairing, have the main course with a good wine pairing (optional), and have a dessert with a good dessert wine pairing. This is our last stop before we go back home and we definitely made a good call. ”
“ Very nice place with a great ambience. We had the lobster bisque and grilled octopus for starters and both were delicious. For the main we both chose the black cod which was an excellent dish. Service was excellent, the view is nice, a good night out. ”
“ We had dinner here on a special occasion and were delighted with the entire experience. We had drinks and oyster starters and trout and lamb dishes as entrees. All items were well prepared and tasteful! The service was very courteous, friendly and efficient. In fact I had a query about the origin of the Trout Fish and it was explained very informatively by our steward. All in all we had a delightful dining experience! ”
“ Definitely the place to be for fresh seafood and views of the bay bridge and water! My party of 4 arrived 30mins after the start of happy hour on Saturday and waited around 40 minutes before seated. We were there for their happy hour oysters at 1.55 each and ended up eating 2 dozen each. These oysters were plump and sweet. We also tried their crab cocktail, tiger prawn cocktail, and their northern halibut aguachile. The seafood here is beyond fresh and cleaned really well. Their tiger prawn were huge and super sweet. Their Auguachile? Really flavorful with citrusy notes that paired well with the sea bass. We were also surprised at the amount of crabmeat in the crab cocktail and appreciated not having to crack open the crabs ourselves. The servers were attentive and came over to take our oyster orders every time they saw us run out. The views here make this the perfect place for a romantic or celebratory meal, or for those looking for a nice place to catch up with friends. I'll definitely be back for more! “ Amazing waterfront views of the BayBridge. Easy walk in without a reservation on a Wednesday at 11:45 am. Excellent bisque, shark and fish & chips. Hot salted bread with herb butter. Great trifle dessert. Pretty outstanding decor. This place would impress your guests visiting SF or even serve for a proposal in my opinion. ”
